[Video] Installing vCenter Server Appliance (VCSA) in VMware Workstation

Getting back on the horse and trying to finish up my youtube playlist on installing a vSphere lab within VMware workstation. In this latest video I show how and why to install a vCenter Server Appliance (VCSA) in VMware Workstation instead of one of the ESXi hosts we built.

  1. Hi There Keth,

I would like to deploy an ovf into my workstation for testing purposes just like you. I have 20gb SSD space left. When I try to import it, I get this:

The import failed because … ova did not pass OVF specification conformance or virtual hardware compliance checks.

Click Retry to relax OVF specification and virtual hardware compliance checks and try the import again, or click Cancel to cancel the import. If you retry the import, you might not be able to use the virtual machine in VMware Workstation.

Setup: Server2008 with two ESXi and want to create a cluster for HA/FT.

    Thanks in advance
