Episode 26 I give my thoughts on Scott Carlson’s VMworld session on OpenStack integration with vSphere at Paypal. This is a follow up to my session notes from VMworld.
The more I hear about the Paypal deployment I think their basic did the following:
– KVM for running frontend webservers
– VMware for running the application servers
– and maybe the larger database servers aren’t even virtualized.
And it seems they are using OpenStack to manage both KVM and VMware.
