VMware Install, Configure and Manage Course – Day 3

Forgot to blog about day 3.  Pretty good information that you wouldn’t normally get if you are just managing a environment.  It was all about managing virtual machines including vMotion, Shared Storage and back up.  I didn’t realize the snapshots store data in 16MB blocks so running VM’s in snapshots for an extended period of time is pretty bad.  I always knew it was bad but I didn’t know why exactly.  Went through the history of vMotion and how memory sync has evolved to it’s current process in VMware 5.0.  All in all the most informative class of the three so far.
